Content extraction
- optimisation of the content structure: assessment of .xml schema, or optimisation of dtp
- extraction of the content from its format, which will be re-used as a template in which translated content will automatically be flown back in.

Content strip-out
- elimination of non translatable content - figures, brand names, using a customised control file
- elimination of repeated content segments
This reduces project costs and time.
Metrics of strip out percentages, and of their evolution, can be pulled up by customers from my.cogen.com, Cogen's online project management portal. |

Language asset leveraging:
- re-use of full matches and pick-up of fuzzy matches from customer's Translation Memory
- highlight, in the translatable content, of customer's terminology in source and target language
This reduces project cost and time, and enhances content quality and consistency.
Metrics of the leveraging performance of the translation memory, and its evolution, are posted in my.cogen.com, Cogen's secured online project management portal. |

Preparation of files for translators
- with translated full matches from Translation Memory, and translation proposals for fuzzy matches
- with highlight of terminology and its translation
- with built-in QA functions (verification of content length, figures, punctuation and formatting)

- by professional translators, native speakers, selected with the customer for their language and subject matter expertise
- within the context of the translated content from the Translation Memory

In-country review
- by the customer's staff, or Cogen-appointed reviewers
- in the electronic file, but with the context of the formatted file (.pdf)
- Quality ratings are requested from the reviewers, and published on my.cogen.com, as well as the edit percentages of new and of content re-used from the translation memory
- review times and adherence to deadlines are tracked and posted on my.cogen.com

Publishing of the translated and reviewed content
- QA-check and validation of reviewed file
- merge of validated translated content in original format
- final publishing, for delivery of print-ready format
- final assessment of translated xml file for hand-off to a content management workflow
If the document structure does not allow for total automation of this merge of content and format, Cogen will propose consultancy services to allow cost and time reduction in the future. |
